Texas, Texas A&M Could Finally Be Playing Each Other In Football Again
Texas and Texas A&M, two rivals that love to pretend they don’t care about each other but are actually hyper-obsessed with one another, could finally be playing each other in football again, according to some reports.
Texas coach Charlie Strong hinted at such during a meeting with the Touchdown Club of Houston on Friday.

The Austin American Statesman was quick to throw a bucket of cold water on the idea, saying no plans were currently in the works. Yeah, sure.
Pump the brakes. Texas spokesman says no specifics have been discussed between Texas and A&M regarding a football game.

The two schools haven’t played each other since November 2011 — when Justin Tucker silenced the Aggies with a game-winning field goal as time expired.
Since that memorable kick, the Aggies have gone on to experience limited, but surprising, success in the SEC. Texas, on the other hand, has basically been doing shit like this for the last four years:
The rivalry has essentially turned into a massive recruiting war — with “victories” equating to player commitments or players from the other school transferring (Ha, see ya Kyle and Kyler). And while it’s been a fun shit-talking battle, it’s time these two schools start playing again. There will not be a hotter ticket in the history of sports than the next time these two teams play each other in football. It’ll have Super Bowl-esque ticket prices. Even if both teams are complete shit, it will be the game of the year.
Hopefully we can get it sooner rather than later..

Not happening any time soon. Aggies are too afraid of a loss.
9 years ago at 1:51 pmIf they were too afraid of losing, they wouldn’t have joined the SEC in the first place.
9 years ago at 2:25 pmYeah being in dead last every year in the SEC really shows yall aren’t scared.
9 years ago at 1:25 pmSure, champ. Meanwhile, your team is constantly at the bottom of the Sun Belt. Nice try.
9 years ago at 6:47 pmI think at this point A&M is about as afraid of Texas as Iowa State
9 years ago at 2:44 pmTFM, we get it, Mobile Strike is paying you for every damned view.
9 years ago at 2:28 pmNever seen a paid app have so many damn ads.

9 years ago at 3:25 pmUT is just desperate for any kind of media attention
9 years ago at 4:06 pmYeah we aren’t in the paper every week because people don’t transfer away from UT every week like the A&M
9 years ago at 1:23 pmSup slut? What do you say we go out to a romantic dinner at Outback. Then we can come back to my place where I can saw your head off with a butter knife.

I stand by what I said. I’ll cut your mother fucking head off, Steve.
9 years ago at 9:04 pmJesus, why the fuck can’t you idiots form a concise, understandable title. “Texas v. Texas A&M Football May Finally Return” – Fix it.
9 years ago at 6:14 pmThought their title was pretty understandable, maybe you’re the idiot… Idiot
9 years ago at 7:43 pmIt’s still lengthy with poor description of content. Also, “Texas, Texas” is a dumb way to note versus, especially when using the name of a state. Then again, you don’t how the comma works either. This is just one of many fucked up titles here, but should have been a toss up.
9 years ago at 10:17 amIt’d be fun to see, but a Baylor vs A&M matchup could be better
