The 15 Colleges With The Most Gold Medals In The 2016 Olympics

Alas, with the end of summer looming, we say goodbye to another Olympic season. America flourished and reminded the world exactly how awesome we are. Earlier in the games, we brought to you a list of the schools with the most American gold medals in the history of the summer games. With the completion of the 2016 games, we’ve been able to tally up all of the red, white, and blue bearing breadwinners from this summer.
A total of 115 gold medals were won by NCAA student-athletes from 48 universities across the U.S. Counting both current and former NCAA student-athletes, here are the top 15 performing college athletic programs from the 2016 Olympic Games.
