The Buffalo Bills Are About To Sign Some Random Guy Who Is Deathly Afraid Of Concrete
In one of the weirdest moves of the offseason, the Buffalo Bills are poised to sign relatively unknown player R. Alfred Bush Jr., who has had stints on a number of teams including the Lions and Dolphins, to a one-year deal. Bush, an NFL journeyman, is perhaps best known as the man currently suing the city of St. Louis for creating a “concrete ring of death,” as his lawsuit calls it, after he slipped and fell on a sidewalk in the city late last year (seriously; this is a real lawsuit that is currently ongoing).
I don’t know much about this R. Alfred Bush Jr. fellow, but I feel like he could be more of a liability than an asset for the Bills. Buffalo is coming off two seasons of .500+ after going 10 years with a losing record. They actually have a shot at being decent this year and earning their first playoff berth in this milennium — all of which can be derailed if Bush trips on a slightly elevated sidewalk square somewhere around town, decides it was put on earth by the Demon God Baracchus to kill him and everyone he loves, and sues the city for subjecting him to such a horrific and scarring experience.
Is Bush worth the risk? I have no idea; like I said, I don’t know much about him. I looked at a list of Heisman winners earlier today and he wasn’t on it, though, so I can only assume he is just another run-of-the-mill player. I hope, for the Bills’ sake, that this signing doesn’t come back to bite them in the (bruised from falling on concrete) ass.
If you want some more info on R. Alfred Bush Jr.’s injury as well as his signing, here you go.
From Buffalo Rumblings:
Reggie Bush is traveling to sign with the Buffalo Bills today, per a report.
…
According to Vic Carucci of The Buffalo News, if Bush passes his physical, he’ll sign a one-year deal worth up to $3M with “incentives mainly tied to special teams.”
Good luck to you in Buffalo, mysterious stranger..

9 years ago at 12:35 pmI grew up in STL. There’s like a 20% chance you’re gonna get shot by a gang member every time you go downtown. The concrete is the least of our problems
