Can’t beat Texas meat, but when it comes down to it, the slow cook style and sauces that are used in KC trump all barbecue. I’ve been to Memphis and I live in the Carolinas now. There is no comparison in taste.
Currently living in Austin, and having lived in Missouri (and been to KC more times than I can count thanks to dating a KC girl) I have to agree. KC BBQ > Texas BBQ. Though Franklin’s in particular is probably better than everything in KC except Oklahoma Joe’s, which will always be the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten.
