The TV Hit Series ‘Friday Night Lights’ Is Set To Have A Reunion

With the Super Bowl this past weekend, all anyone was talking about was the battle of the quarterbacks: Would it be Cam Newton or Peyton Manning that pushes their way to the top (it was the old vet)? Either way, neither can replace the true QB1, Jason Street. Which is why Friday Night Lights has announced a cast reunion for this summer.

From Entertainment Weekly:

The FNL reunion comes 10 years after the show’s NBC premiere (and five years after the acclaimed drama ended) and includes a “Panther Field” meetup with a pep rally, live music, tailgating activities, and photo ops. Participants will be announced at a later date.

Fans have hoped for years that FNL would come back with a movie, but the writers just aren’t going for it so the reunion will have to be enough. Conni Britton, who plays Tami Taylor in the series, seems enthusiastic about reuniting with the old Dillon High gang. Back in December, she went on record saying, “Listen, I love that world. I love those characters. I love those actors.”

And we do too, Mrs. Taylor. The reunion is to be hosted the ATX Television Festival, June 9-12 in Austin, TX. Texas Forever..
