Swanson is pretty much the only accurate presentation of a conservative on television these days. He’s funny at other people’s expense, not his own, which is refreshing in an NBC program. Jack Donaghy comes close, but deep down I don’t buy Alec Baldwin playing someone witty, smart, or Republican.
