The University Of Iowa Peeping Tom Who Hid Out In A Bathroom Stall Has Been Arrested

Iowa City just got a little less creepy after its latest creeper was recently put behind bars.

Presumably exercising some sort of voyeur fetish, the peeping tom was caught videotaping a female University of Iowa student while she was in a dorm room shower.

From The University of Iowa Police Department:

On February 15, 2016, at 10:24 p.m. UI Police responded to Burge Hall regarding a complaint of a person videotaping a female student while showering in the womens shower room. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. The female student confronted the male and left the room. The suspect did not make physical contact with the female student.

As the police officer was taking the report in Burge, he received information of suspicious activity in a female restroom in the building. Upon investigation, the officer found a male hiding in a stall. When the officer went to arrest the suspect, a fight ensued and the suspect fled the building.

This is not a lighthearted situation, but the fact that this creep went into a bathroom stall to evade police is almost too good to be true. I’m picturing him doing the classic hiding technique where you stand on the toilet bowl so that your potential captors can’t see your feet if they look under the stall door. Much to his dismay, this time-honored technique failed him, and he had to resort to assaulting the officer before making his escape.

Luckily, somebody snapped a photo of the man before he fled the scene, which gave the police a leg to stand on while trying to apprehend the suspect.

Just three hours and 24 minutes later, they found their man.

Dude’s now got a laundry list of charges against him, including assault on a police officer and invasion of privacy.
