Theta Delta Chi Members Thwart Fraternity House Burglary At University Of Michigan

Theta Delta Chi members from the University of Michigan delivered some cold, hard justice over the weekend after two people tried to burglarize their house.

The incident reportedly happened during a house party on Sunday.

Ann Arbor Police say one of the brothers confronted a suspect he believed was stealing from the house and asked him to turn out his pockets. This revealed a number of purportedly stolen items.

They then detained one of the suspects, but the other took off running. That’s when another fraternity member took off after the suspect. Police say he was punched, but did successfully recover the stolen items.

That suspect was apprehended by police a little while later.

‘While the incident turned out relatively well for the men of Theta Delta Chi, [Lt. Renee] Bush cautioned them and others against trying to stop a suspected criminal on their own, as you never know what could happen.

‘They’re very brave, but I don’t recommend that,’ Bush said of the confrontation. ‘Let us handle that — it’s what we’re trained to do.’”

Wait. Is Bush saying campus police are trained to do more than just hand out MIPs? Seems fishy.

Both 21-year-old suspects were arrested and taken to Washtenaw County Jail where they will now (hopefully) be boned by the long dick of the law..
