This Powerful Upcoming Film About An Iraq War Hero Will Be A Must-See

I can’t wait to see this. As a guy who’s done two deployments, the worst part is coming home and trying to get back to normal. And all sorts of degenerates always have to ask, ‘Did you kill anyone?’

Why do people ask that? I mean seriously, do I say yes and have you think I’m a murdering psychopath, or do I say no, and have you think I’m some kind of pussy who didn’t actually fight in a war? Any movie that depicts how ridiculous and difficult life as a vet is, is a movie worth seeing.

Let’s see. His avatar has a Big Red One shoulder patch and is wearing OCP. Top three guesses are Army, Army, and Army.

That is avoidable by simply not telling anyone. I don’t bother to tell new people I meet I am a vet, I just say I’m an older student. One reason being now days it can make me a target, not just for jihadists, but for SJWs as well. I also figured I would just get tired of talking about it and my personal opinion is that while some people have a genuine concern for what’s going on over there or for you as a friend or family member, many have a sick, morbid curiosity. Although that curiosity is not strong enough to steer them to the recruiters office.

The worst part for me was having platoon members and 1 team member come home in a coffin. Then seeing those coming back critically injured while I came back almost literally without a scratch.

Respond with “What’s your favorite sex position?”
Then when they ask why you said that say “Oh. I thought we were asking each other personal questions.”

Those hippie liberal commies in Hollywood better not fuck this one up.

We’ll see. If it were from Kathryn Bigelow (Zero Dark Thirty, The Hurt Locker) or Clint Eastwood (he’s freaking Clint Eastwood) I wouldn’t be worried. Ang Lee is a fantastic director but this will be new ground for him.

Too little footage to tell definitively, but it looks like the combat scenes might be an afterthought. I don’t think this is going to be a “war movie” per se.

The Hurt Locker was a colossal fuck-up, from a veteran’s perspective. That movie actually really pissed me off.

I’ll be at MCRD when it comes out but this looks awesome. Salute to all the vets, active duty, recruits, and poolees out there.

I have the distinct feeling this is going to be one of the most deeply important movies to see considering our soldiers. This trailer in itself makes a profound statement.

To the vets that visit this site, thank you for everything you do. No matter what the media says or any other capitol hill bullshit you may encounter, the majority of us Americans still look at you as the heroes you are. May you all find peace when you come home.

This looks excellent. Ang Lee is really hit or miss though, which worries me.
