Tiger Played Golf In Cargo Shorts Yesterday

I’m legitimately in shock right now.

Tiger Woods is clearly an asshole off the course, well, sometimes on the course too, but one thing I’ve always defended the guy on is that he always seemed to hold the game of golf in high regard — with complete respect. It’s a gentleman’s game after all, and even though the uncharismatic asshole-adulterer sometimes lets the expletives fly after a bad shot, he has always carried himself as one. Until now.

Tiger played a practice round at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pennsylvania on Tuesday — site of the 2013 U.S. Open — and he played in cargo shorts.

    The schtick here though is not simply that he chose to wear them, but that they violate Merion’s club ethics code, which strictly prohibits them, among other GDI like attire. Apparently, he snuck onto the course with a famed amateur player Buddy Marucci, who is a member at the destination of the ’13 US Open, on a day when only greens keepers were supposed to be on course taking party in preparatory measures. Safe to say Buddy is fucked.

      Buddy is most certainly not fucked. He can pretty much do whatever he wants at any Philadelphia area course. Guy’s a legend.

    Everybody relax. He probably just needed the extra pockets to carry extra golf balls in. He must have played like Sergio Garcia that day

    He did the same thing at Augusta National last year and they told him to put some pants on or GTFO.
