Trevone Boykin Went A Little Hard At Pat O’Brien’s, Punched Bike Cop
Update 1/2/2016 9:50 A.M.
Here’s the video:
Texas Christian quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested early Thursday morning and charged with third-degree felony assault after an altercation on San Antonio’s cesspool of tourism known as the River Walk. In town for the Alamo Bowl against Oregon — which is perplexingly after the college football playoff semi-finals on January 2 — Boykin and wide receiver Preston Miller snuck out after the team’s midnight curfew check and went to Pat O’Brien’s because that’s how you stay inconspicuous. Nothing says keeping it on the low quite like the most basic, franchised bar right in the midst of the most popular destination in the whole damn city. A dueling piano show and the fruity nectar of the voodoo gods known as hurricanes? What a night!
Those drinks go down like candy, huh Trevone? They’ll sneak up on you, though. Three or four of those suckers and you’re feeling good. One minute you’re asking “Is there even booze in this?” and the next minute you’re on complete auto-pilot. The glazed over look where the lights are on, but no one is home. So I’m guessing our boy Trevone here was a few deep when shit hit the fan.
After getting into it with a few other bar patrons who were heckling the quarterback, Boykin struck a Pat O’s employee during the scuffle. He was then escorted out of the bar, where the fight continued, and swung and struck a bike cop before being detained.

Not a great look for when you’re about to enter the NFL draft. Granted it was a BIKE cop, but in the eyes of the law, that’s still a real police officer..

10 years ago at 1:38 pmYeah he’s totally not going to the nfl now
10 years ago at 2:09 pmThe NFL gives 0 fucks about a bike cop. The guy is gonna be fine.
10 years ago at 4:31 pmNew to the sarcasm game?
10 years ago at 6:37 pmIt’s not about if he’s going to the NFL or not, it’s about draft position. Teams are more conscious of character than ever before, and this kid just cost himself millions with this one mistake
10 years ago at 11:55 pmIt’s going influence his draft pick for sure. Which go hand in hand with his starting salary. He is an idiot.
10 years ago at 11:05 amLeave him alone, Jake
10 years ago at 9:54 amSounds like a Wednesday night at Pat O’s. I say we give him a pass.
10 years ago at 1:43 pmThe kid fucked up but how many of us have made just as dumb if not dumber decisions when we’ve had one (or a couple) too many? The only difference is Trevon happens to be a well known football player. Hope he learns his lesson and ends up with the Texans cause God knows we need a QB and he can’t be worse than Hoyer
10 years ago at 9:11 amI don’t know many people that are dumb enough to swing at a cop
10 years ago at 9:55 amyou and your friends are pussies
