UCONN Raises Over 716K For Children’s Miracle Network At HuskeyTHON
“HuskeyTHON is…” the woman at the beginning of the video sighs, stifling back tears as she speaks. “HuskeyTHON is the best night of the year.”
The UCONN community descended en masse upon the Hugh S. Greer Field House for the annual HuskeyTHON, an all-night dance-off that is simply one of the happiest damn things I’ve ever seen. The students danced and laughed and cried and celebrated with the children who were given a second chance at life thanks to their generous efforts.
Since its founding, HuskeyTHON has raked in over $3 million for the Children’s Miracle Network, a non-profit organization that raises funds for children’s hospitals across North America. This year, they donated an incredible $716,395.
According to a news tip, the top three fundraising teams this year were Theta, Delta Gamma, and Zeta Beta Tau, in that order.
The reaction when they hold up the numbers at the end says it all..

Solid work guys, this is what fraternity life is about. Doing good, and having a good time while doing it.

10 years ago at 4:29 pmThe fact that a fraternity made it into the top 3 for fundraising is especially impressive, considering frats generally aren’t nearly as large as sororities are
