I rarely even leave fairway woods in the bag… If you’re good with long irons, a 3 iron is a shit ton cleaner to hit square even if the fairways short, and especially from the tee box… and blowisfrat, lots of people can hit a 3 iron around 250 pretty consistently… step your game up big guy.

People bash on clubs like the hybrid and belly putter because they are new to the game, people sometimes forget that metal drivers were not accepted right away when they were introduced
It’s all preference, i’d rather hit a hybrid 3 because it’s more forgiving and i only hit them in situations where i’d like to get it to the green and the higher ball flight to land it on the green without it rolling off into the rough or bunkers
