      Your point still stands, but “one nation under God” wasn’t even in the pledge until 1954. It’s a decided upgrade though.

      I’m well aware of that. My point is he’s an American: no fucks were given that he was a prisoner, he continued to keep his head up, kick ass, and wrote history’s greatest fight song.
