I agree. Officers shouldn’t haze and I definitely don’t. My point is that I, and I’m sure all Marine officers learned a few new “tricks” up at Quantico when we were going through OCS. “I can break your body in 12 seconds…here, let me show you” – SSGT the first day of OCS.
Going to OCS and thinking you know anything about Marine Corps hazing- NF. Going to boot camp, spending six years in the Fleet and THEN going to OCS- TFM.
Officers know soo much about hazing, right? Spend a few years as an enlisted grunt and then we’ll talk. I like all the ‘boot camp is real hazing’ comments too. Become a fleet grunt and you’ll know what hazing means. Nevertheless, congrats on becoming one of the few.
CHAPULTAPECK! EAT BABIES! THROW PUPPIES! Hey Fratural what are you gonna do, make your pledges write a 300 word essay? You don’t learn shit about hazing at OCS. Come on now. The only place you COULD get good ideas is the anti hazing brief.
Indeed it was…and through other training and the addition of some rank I earned a PhD.
14 years ago at 9:28 amHaving said that, I don’t know what hazing an officer does…if it’s gotten to that point, the enlisted leaders aren’t doing their jobs.
Thank God I can do mine. I prefer my officers to be neither seen nor heard. Out of sight–out of mind.

14 years ago at 10:46 amMore like getting a masters in pledging. Id like to know who you hazed upon joining the marine corps.
14 years ago at 12:37 pmIt doesn’t take much to break any boots body–whether at bootcamp or OCS…
Drill instructors are amatures…too many rules for them to follow so their talents cannot fully develop.
