i love how you guys are making this brash assumption that OU and Texas would just jump at any chance to go to the sec? OU has been the best program since stoops has been there, other teams have one more nat title but that doesnt make up for a decade of consistency similiar to that of FSU in the ninetys…and if you rank texas in the scope of powerful football programs they would be in front of about 18-23 NFL teams. sec just has the best athletes because theyve studded out black people for so long, the results being skill position and speedy defensive monsters.
i will say that after that i must bow down to SEC frat life, a true standard. ive been to happy valley and madison, austin and boulder several times, bozeman was enjoyable as well..but i was essentially re-hazed in the arts of fratdom in athens, fayetteville, charleston and especially ole miss. jesus i thought i knew how to…i had no idea. so hats off to you guys.
OU has been overrated for years. They are the reason we have to hear the same Boise State argument every fucking year. They also took it in the ass from LSU, Florida and USC when they made it to the national championship. And Texas fucking sucks. Mack Brown gets top five recruiting classes every year and still manages to go 5-7. Big !2, or whatever the fuck y’all yourselves now, is a fucking joke. Colt McCoy can cry like a champ though.
For those that get the Houston Chronicle there is a great article by jerome solomon in today’s paper. Its not yet online but I will list a few good quotes from him
“SEC commissioner Mike Silve said recently that the league isn’t looking to expand”
“A&M athletic director Bill Byrne has told aggie faithful that a move to the SEC wouldn’t be smart”
“The best way to get from under someone’s shadow is to knock him down, not to run away”
“Aggies live off a regular diet of an embarrassing inferiority complex and an irrational superiority complex”
After finishing ranked for the first time since 1999, A&M feels like it is on the same level as a team that has finished at average of 8.27 ranked in the polls since the same time period. I think the only way to describe it is irrational.
1) That is an editorial aka opinion
2) Jerome Solomon was at the Houston Chronicle then moved to the Boston Globe and got booed out of town for being a terrible journalist (they let him back because he rode Texas’ jock like a slambroad)
3) Since the dawn of the scholarship age (1970, right after A&M became co-ed with non-mandatory corps membership) A&M leads the series 19-17
Rick Perry being an Aggie. FaF
Rick Perry leading Texas for 10+ years as governor.
Rick Perry showing where to get a good education, Texas A&M University.
Rick Perry being a male cheerleader. NF. Having only male cheer leaders. NF. Having a group of geeds dress up and play army. NF. Grown men yelling whoop while wiggling their fingers. NF. Having sex with farm animals. NF. Thinking “T.U.” is clever. NF. Do I need to continute? Texas A&M. NOT FUCKING FRAT.
I’m starting to think you must be in the Corps, because I don’t know anyone at A&M that claims them to be military other than Cadets themselves. Now, if they choose to go and enlist in the REAL MILITARY, then more power to them, and I will support them. Until then, they are a bunch of college aged men running around in military uniforms marching around playing make believe. The same thing that most 5 year olds do on Halloween.
Y’all don’t know jack shit about the corps. Those are the most respected men on campus and many of them go over seas after school. Rick Perry wasn’t a male cheerleader, don’t you dare degrade our future president you nasty little fuck.
All the greeks that I know at A&M thinks guys in the corps are fags. The only people that think members of the corps are God’s gift to the mankind are said members.
Also, calling Rick Perry a male cheerleader isn’t disrespectful; it’s calling a spade a spade. That’s just what yell leaders are.
The Corps runs the show at A&M, being the most visible presence on campus and receiving all the hoopla. Plus it’s been around forever. So of course the fraternity men aren’t going to love it.

That is just god-awful journalism.
1. On August 22nd when we declare, this point (and thus the entire article, as well as Solomon’s credibility) will be invalidated.
2. Byrne was making those comments last year but has since changed his mind after seeing the bs in the LHN.
3. Not if the entity creating that shadow (UT) has a completely unfair advantage. Best thing to do is just walk away.
4. He contradicts himself in the same statement. I’m not even compelled to respond to this time.
5. Learn to make your own opinions and engage in your own analysis, Lone Star Frat, lest you will forever be a dolt.
