The U.N. finally sacked up and took military action against Gaddafi. America teaching the rest of the world how to haze dictators since the 80's. TFM.

Spending 100-300 million dollars a week enforcing a no-fly zone. Spending money we don’t have sounds like regular Obama to me. Now we are in three wars over there. Great.

Frattiesburg, you have no idea what you are talking about. We aren’t deploying troops, we are launching missiles, big difference.

110 tomahawks spread out over 20 targets… we’re just laying some American pipe.

Prime, you’re an idiot if you don’t think Afghanistan is a war. The Iraq war is over. And as for the French being more proactive then us, who cares? We’re sort of involved elsewhere if you haven’t noticed. As strong as our army is, it’s not like we can just deploy 100,000 troops on a whim.

Did I say we deployed troops? Fucking idiot. Check out the spending numbers. That alone is a reason we should not be sticking our noses in business that isn’t ours. If the Euro-trash wants to grab their nuts for the first time in 70 years, then let them. We can’t afford shit like this. Let the fucking Libyans fight. Stay out of it.

well, at least it’s the French directly enforcing the no-fly zone with their air force, not us. About time they actually use those planes for something more than airshows. And yea, we’re spending money and getting involved, but for once we’re not the only one’s taking direct action. I would take a couple hundred Tomahawks over a troop deployment any day.
And with all the revolutions going on in the Middle East, I would think the United Nations crushing this military dictatorship and helping those citizens would greatly improve our image in that region. If countries in the Middle East finally are ready to join the rest of the civilized world and be more productive members of the global economy, I say we help them out.

The French? The UN? Were you actually able to type that with a straight face?

We are bombing Libya ans spending ridiculous amounts of taxpayer money because Europe told us to. Great leadership by our incompetent moron of a president…..this will accomplish nothing without sending in ground troops to force Ghadafi out of office. Then we will have a full scale war on our hands. Y’all really need to look at the broad spectrum.

Fact: The French have taken direct action to enforce the no-fly zone.
Fact: There is an “international response to the unrest in Libya and enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1973.”

So yea, I don’t see why I couldn’t type it with a straight face. I won’t argue the fact that Obama is a massive mistake in our presidential line, but come on, what would have happened if we went against a UN resolution and help a nation who’s people clearly want a fair and ethical government.

As to the “ridiculous amounts of taxpayer money” being spent, I would say 110 cruise missiles used to take out strategic radar and anti-air targets of a force that massacres it’s own people just because they want the basic human right to a choice of government leadership is a very good way to spend it. I would rather pay for the liberation of an obviously oppressed population than welfare payments for inner-city crack addicts.

And to the “broad spectrum,” you have an extremely close-minded view of the future here. With the rest of the region revolting and advocating democracy and free choice, a victory over this regime will only hasten the betterment of millions of people in an already war-torn country. Not to mention the possibility of further liberation across the Middle East. If the people of those countries know that the western world has their back, the sooner we can see leaders like Amahdenajad put down and new relations open up with potential allies in the biggest problem area in the world.

So quit your bitching about how we’re paying too much and should sit back and watch. This is the first opportunity that’s come along where the rest of the world is willing to back up what we’ve been trying to do for decades: give those people the basic human rights they deserve.

You just sound like a crabby, broke GDI who doesn’t understand the principles our great nation was founded on and doesn’t want to advocate the betterment of millions in a situation so shitty you can’t even begin to comprehend.

Or maybe I sound like someone who served in Iraq and Afghanistan you fucking moron. Go ahead and disregard the money we are spending for absolutely no cause. Liberals like you are the reason this country is in so much debt in the first place, retard. Nothing significant will arise form this unless ground troops usurp Ghadafi from power, personally.

I mean, really man? You are taking France’s back in this? You REALLY think the West gives a FLYING FUCK about Libya? You fucking naive idiot. France and others have oil interests in this country.

You say further liberation? Name one successful democracy in this region? Can’t do it? Don’t be so stupid. There is no such thing as freedom and liberation in this region, and that is because idiots like Obama stick their noses where it doesn’t belong. Let the Libyan people fight for their own freedom. If they want it bad enough, they will achieve it.

And…..what you’re telling me is that it is actually worth ONE American life to attempt to give these people freedom? If they want it, they will achieve it. ONE American life is ONE too many. Obama is a fucking idiot and so are you.

Haha, how many liberals do you know that are for more military spending and action in situations like this? I think it’s fair to say anyone who doesn’t want to give their tax money to “inner city crack addicts” most likely votes Republican. Nice try though.

The fact that you’re so rattled you have to pepper in so much profanity and personal attacks means you really have no solid argument against what I have said here. When it comes to this particular example of modern day foreign policy, your “TFTC” approach would do more harm to our reputation than good.

So once again, take your negative attitude and juvenile retorts somewhere else because frankly, I am getting a great deal of enjoyment from pissing you off and being right. Take the hint and get off this site, I’m sure these people would really love to hear what you have to say:

Seriously, what are you doing on this site?

@MaverEK1401, you are seriously the man, thanks for giving us a good name

The people of Libya deserve freedom
Moammar Gaddafi is a murderer who is willing to risk the lives of his own people for a selfish desire for power
There is no price for human life
And stop with the insecure comments about us just listening to what Europe wants. We were actually one of the leading countries in trying to get the no fly zone enacted.

Frattiesburg, shut the fuck up! We ARE letting them fight their own war. All the tomahawks did was take out Gaddafi’s competitive advantage over the fighting rebels. We blew up anti air craft and other critical equipment so that the rebels could actually fight without being shitted on by the Country(which obviously had superior weapons). So you are right, if they want it bad enough, they will get it. That is only possible now because we made the playing field even. Go suck Gaddafi’s dick. We are helping them so that when democracy is installed there, maybe we can get some oil breaks. Its the American way buddy.
