How about you settle the FaF and NF dispute on the gridiron. Seeing that the USMA last beat the USNA in 2001 I’m going out on a limb and saying Navy’s got this one. Either way they’re both FaF and demand the highest respect from all citizens. In comparison to anyone who serves our great country, we’re all geeds because we don’t have the balls to do it. Moreover, many Fortune 100 CEOs and top executives are all veterans of the academies. For example Bob McDonald, the COO of P&G, was in the 1975 class of the USMA.
What does top gun have to do with this conversation, they wouldn’t let Maverick into the Academy because he was Duke Mitchell’s kid. Iceman was fratty as fuck and I’d rather forget that Navy SEALs was a movie…albeit it has done great things for Michael Biehn’s career of playing a Navy SEAL…
Fratrick Brochanan, my comment was in response to what I assume was a west point cadet insinuating that the Naval Academy is not frat.
By Navy Seals I didn’t mean to bring up the abhorrent movie but the actual warfare community. I used Top Gun to point out the fact that aviators, who are FaF, also commission from the academy. In fact, most people at the academy go either aviation or marines.
FaF. The only man in my family who wasn’t in a fraternity was my granddad who went to West Point, fought in WWII, and then went to law school and had a successful career.
Lets be real. Navy is the top tier academy, then you have your second tier academies like WP and Air Force, and then you have coast guard and the Merchant Marine academy. In all seriousness though, I respect the cadets and midshipman at my sister schools.
Then maybe you should have gone for a real legacy like one at an academy. But mostly West Point.
