Its really not a bad thing at all. Sure they pay people $2/day but those people would probably be making $0 a day without it. Progress is progress.

Yeah dude, it’s the internet. We have an attention span of like, 2 minutes. Be TFTC.

2 dollars a day may not seem like a lot to us, but to them it is. People argue that they should make the equivalent of minimum wage over there but the cost of living in Vietnam-where most Nike clothes are made- is so much lower (it takes only 50 cents to get a decent meal) that making $7.25 an hour would be a lot.

Did you read Naked Economics? There’s a whole chapter about this idea. There’s a little bit of liberal, tree hugging bullshit in it, but overall a pretty interesting read

Fuck you, I don’t care who you are, sweatshops are never a total frat move. Have some fucking decency for people who work there ass off just to fucking survive. Grow the fuck up.

I agree with you…I know this site is purely entertainment, but there is a very fine line between being funny and being a dick. Human suffering is not funny.

Profit is FaF, we can’t employ enough people at low wage jobs here. Today’s generation thinks that the physical labor of our forefathers is below them and that everyone needs to go to college. The free market has spoken, and if you hate the market, you hate America. Go to hell, you blind neo-conservitard.

You realize the opinion I published in my previous post has absolutely nothing to do with neo-conservatism?

I’m not saying I disagree with sending the jobs there, but why are we here saying it’s a TFM? Just because the free market rules, doesn’t mean sweatshops in China for American companies doesn’t hurt the US.
