“@” symbols and hashtags are not for this site. If you need to address someone specifically, use their name or the always trustworthy “^^^^^”. Just do it quickly or the amount of arrows will point to the wrong person and it will create mass confusion.

14 years ago at 8:21 pm
    7. BrotherOmicron

No it doesn’t. It just proves that I can get a big rise out of people by posting a response that is just 1 word. It’s hilarious and nobody understands that their responses are doing the exact opposite of what they are seeking to accomplish.

14 years ago at 8:23 pm
    8. FaFTexas

The “@” is not just for twitter you dipshit. It can be used on any forum or forum based site. It was used well before that stupid website was ever created. The quicker you learn this, the better. I could use the arrows or I can DIRECTLY address the person who I am speaking to. “Hashtags” are fucking retarded and I will never use them. Quit being a complete imbecile and have some basic knowledge before you respond you asshole. Go fuck yourself.

The fact that you’re on this site refreshing the pages enough to keep being “first” is what’s pitiful.

Actually, I don’t make much of an effort to be “first”. Numerous TFM’s are usually all posted at once. I either get lucky and “first” all of them or miss the chance. I probably post less than a lot of the people who continue to seek out my posts and complain about me.

I will be the “first” to say it, You are all complaining like a bunch of bitches. Shut the fuck up about the first bullshit! You may now commence to talk shit about me so I can laugh.

    1. Pharaoh of Frats

He’s the consummate Washington insider. He’s worked with Nancy Pelosi on multiple occasions to push the alarmist, job-killing, environmentalist agenda. He’s received $1.6 million from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae for “advice”. He constantly talks about honesty and the value of family when he cheated on his wife. He was for the TARP bailouts and the unconstitutional Patriot Act.

I don’t see how anyone could justify voting for Newt Gingrich.

      RON PAUL 2012

    2. If You Have To Ask

^^I disagree. There are quite a few policy issues that keep me from him anyway. But even if I were to overlook those, once I factor morality into that man as a candidate I lose all respect. Leaving your second wife who has cancer makes my skin crawl.

Ron Paul 2012 for me as well

    3. Frattapalooza

^^ You really need to start looking at people relative to their competition rather than on an absolute basis. He was the Speaker of the House…of course he has worked with Pelosi, it’s his mother fucking job you stupid fuck, its called politics. I like Paul, but how on fucking earth could you justify sending him up to take on Obama? thats total suicide, and yes, how could you not justify voting for him in the general election against Obama? You Pharaoh are adequately well informed, but your logic and interpretation of the facts and reason behind your bold statements need some serious work.

14 years ago at 10:34 am
    4. Pharaoh of Frats

^I realize his being Speaker of the House means he would be acquainted with Pelosi, but that in no way means he has to work with her, especially on what he did. Also, his being the Speaker does not excuse anything else I mentioned.

While I agree with the fact that Obama may be a better speaker, in terms of eloquence, than Ron Paul, but that won’t matter when people are saying they would vote for a potted plant over Obama. Ron Paul may not be the best speaker, but he’s the best at getting his point across; laying out his plan in simple terms and actually sticking to it.

Cept that’d mean that Newt would have to drop out. And we can’t have that. He actually knows what he’s talking about. Sure, he has quite a few skeletons in his closet. But he is smart and could tear Obama apart.

  3. Fraternity Man

This is not simply an election where the GOP needs a candidate who “could tear Obama apart”. It goes beyond that. America is at a critical point where it needs some unity. These past several years have been akin to the 1960s in terms of dissent and an unpopular war. It took until the beginning of Reagan’s second term to achieve a sense of unity and faith in America. Electing Newt would result in a. a return to wide scale smear campaigns by the media a la the W era and b. probably a crippling scandal. Electing Obama would mean, well, more of the same, although I think a second term would be better for the U.S. than the potential GOP embarrassments of a Gingrich presidency. America needs Ron Paul in 2012 because he has clear plans and can relate to both sides.

    1. Wall Street Fratter

You are a fucking moron “Fraternity Man” and quite frankly don’t deserve that username after that post. While Ron Paul has some great plans economically speaking, his foreign policy and naive view towards Iran and other Middle Eastern countries is a great threat to our National Security. Also we do need a candidate that can “tear Obama apart.” Do you really think Obama is going to play nice and run a positive campaign? (That was 2008) Obama is far-left liberal hailing from Chicago and will run a very negative campaign using Chicago-style politics. We need a candidate that is not soft like McCain who can combat Obama in the debates and expose him for the broken campaign promises and his atrocious record as President. I am disgusted that you would rather have another four years of record spending, high unemployment, outrageous debt, etc. under Obama than elect Newt Gingrich as President. While he does have lots of baggage, he is the sharpest candidate with credentials that qualify him to be President. I am positive that he will unite this country more than Obama has done or ever thought about doing.

14 years ago at 8:14 am
    2. FratasticMrOX

I think Fraternity Man is a moderate who would rather see four more years Obama than any GOP candidate other than Ron Paul.

If you think invading sovereign territories is the best way to protect America’s interests in the longterm, then you are misguided. 9/11 happened because of American activities in the 60s,70s, 80,s and 90s. If we stayed out of the middle east, instead of meddling around in that region with Israel, then there would be no terrorism threat.

14 years ago at 1:30 pm
    3. Fraternity Man

Wall Street Fratter, you do realize that part of Dr. Paul’s economic recovery plan is to withdraw from the Middle East, right? That would lessen our national security threat AND give the government more money. Then, he would be a conservative spender, lessening government interference both in business and in social welfare programs. It’s like that South Park underpants gnomes “profit” joke, except with an actual plan for Phase II. Gingrich, from what I can gather, wants to increase our military involvement, which would continue to deplete the economy and raise our national security threat. Ron Paul will not back down to Obama in a debate. And if Obama runs a “very negative campaign using Chicago-style politics”, he’ll have a hell of a lot more ammo against Gingrich than Dr. Paul.

    4. December 10 1869

While Dr. Paul has good intentions, it’s going to be much harder to actually prove that they’ll work. Pulling out of the Middle East doesn’t guarantee that they’ll quit fucking with us. Furthermore, Iran absolutely needs to be monitored as far as a nuclear program is concerned. Whether we like it or not, Israel is a strong nation that is in the middle of a region where they’re not well-liked. Additionally, Obama called for the Israeli borders to be re-drawn consistent with the 1967 borders, which places them in an even more volatile position. Does Newt have baggage? Yes. But did Newt also do a great job as Speaker of the House? Absolutely. The Clinton administration had the best economic situation in years, and who makes the budget? Congress. Who was in charge of the House? Newt. I also think he’s the only one who can seriously stand up and tell Obama to shut the fuck up (figuratively). He know his history and he knows his politics, and he’s also a no-nonsense motherfucker. Three things that Obama can’t say about himself.
