Also, most of the Cubans made over the past 5 years suck. The best Cubans are 20-50 years old for the most part when Cuba was in its prime. The crap they produce now isn’t as good as cigars you can find from the DR, Honduras, or Nicaragua. Try an Avo 80, 40th anniversary Padron or a Serie R Limitada from 2002-2006. These cigars won’t produce beetles and they have a solid construction.
Those La Gloria’s are definitely a great smoke. I was just down in the DR a few weeks back at the General Cigar factory. If you ever get a chance to go to a cigar factory, it’s a great trip.
If your ever in South Florida, make the trip to the “Calle Ocho” (the cuban district in miami) to the La Gloria factory. They only make a small amount of there cigars there, but you can watch them being made. Plus there Miami made cigars are there best. When ever I am in Palm Beach, I always make a trip to there factory.
Fratoholic…you’re a fucking idiot. 1. Any of those cigars are just as likely to “produce beetles” as cubans are. 2. They don’t “produce” beetles…the beetle egg is found in the majority of cigars rolled…as they lay them on tobacco plants. It’s a matter of keeping your temperature below 70 so that they don’t hatch. 3. What Cubans have you smoked over the past 5 years? Probably nothing to brag about…there have been plenty of quality sticks from Cuba over the past 5 years…the 2008 CoRo to name one of many.
Yeah, you’re definitely trying to hard.

I think we can all agree the random game of madden or a car race or something is always fun when getting back from the bars or during rainy days.

13 years ago at 2:59 pmNot knowing that scotch is commonly drank out of these glasses at tastings and upscale restaurants. NF
13 years ago at 3:10 pm^ exactly, it’s a scotch snifter. definitely the recommended glass for a whisky of that caliber

13 years ago at 4:32 pm^hahaha “what do you get? a multiple orgasm.”
13 years ago at 4:41 pmNot knowing that you are not served a snifter anywhere unless it’s at a tasting.
13 years ago at 8:02 pmEither way, that glass is a brandy snifter. A scotch snifter is typically more narrow.

13 years ago at 9:07 pmIf you want some great cigars, Gloria Cubana Miami made cigars are excellent.

13 years ago at 11:39 pmThe Padron 40th are some of the best cigars I’ve smoked, Cubans included. I’m a big fan of the Opus X from Fuente. The Anejos are pretty good as well.
13 years ago at 10:33 amNicaraguan cigars are a must. So is Fleur de Cana, a fantastic rum.

13 years ago at 9:51 pmI really do not like blended whisky. Single malt is soooo much better. Glenmorangie or Macallan are my favorites.
13 years ago at 10:26 amAgreed. Blended scotch tastes like watered-down single malt. Macallan over Blue Label any day.
13 years ago at 10:29 am“Soooo” much better?
13 years ago at 10:47 am+1 on the single malt. Nothing compares. Johnny black makes me want to cut my tongue off.
13 years ago at 12:03 pmThank you. Blue label is what non scotch drinkers to by on cruise ships or to order Vagas to look cool.
13 years ago at 12:42 pmNot gonna lie. I’d still do a pull from that bottle. I don’t care if its texas spirit vodka. If its got alcohol in it, I’ll drink it.
13 years ago at 2:33 pmGlenfiddich Snow Phoenix is one of the only blended I drink. I usually stick to Balvenie 12 Doublewood and Balvenie 12 signature for my regular.
13 years ago at 4:06 pmsixteen year lavagulin, taste wise blows macallan out of the water, as well as any blended. Especially the ’90 distillers edition.
