USC IFC President Impeached And Vice President Resigns, Big Win For USC Fraternities
The guys are officially out as IFC leaders after last night’s meeting. The VP sent out this letter:
Big win for Greeks at USC.
Two weeks ago, IFC President, Tim Bryson, and Vice President, Jonathan Withrow, halted rush for 13 fraternities at the University of South Carolina due to alcohol violations. Chapter presidents are now fighting back over what they see as an unfair and unacceptable use of power. The chapter presidents are recommending that the two be dismissed from their positions entirely.
From The Daily Gamecock:
Harris R. Courson, Fraternity Council Vice President of Programming, was contacted by four fraternity chapter presidents who are officially petitioning for the removal of Bryson and Withrow, saying that the two “have not lived up to the standards of [their] position.” Courson then passed on that information to Bryson and Withrow, omitting the petitioners’ names.
Bryson and Withrow are both shocked that this is happening to them considering they honestly believe they did the right thing by halting rush for the 13 fraternities. Withrow apparently believes this is just the fraternities being vindictive towards them as a result of their being punished.
A hearing will take place tonight, and an impeachment vote could be held next week where 18 chapters will need to vote in favor for the two to be removed..

Win for Greeks? Really?
This will not end well. Maybe you won the battle but you lost the war. This will only prove to administration that you are not mature enough to make the right decisions and hold yourselves accountable. If you think they are dictators now just wait for a few more incidents to occur.
If we cannot fight to prove Greek Life’s relevance and ability to not embarrass our universities then we will be gone.
