My dad threw out the 6-year-old scotch in the liquor cabinet because it was "still in diapers". He said, "we want scotch that is half way through college," and then proceeded to open up 20-year-old Johnnie Walker Blue. TFM.

    1. true story

My uncle raged with Jeb Bush at Texas and my grandfather was fraternity brothers with Joseph McCarthy at Marquette. Name dropping is FaF. We don’t throw away whiskey though…

JW blue is great if you like to brag about your money but you can get a solid single malt for $40 that’s better than any blended scotch.

Agree, JW black actually got better ratings than blue. Still a blended scotch and blended scotch, NF.

False. Blended scotch is FaF. Talking shit about whiskey = NF.

Blue label is a blend of scotches ranging in age from 30 years minimum to 60 years maximum… in terms of blended scotch the manufacturer is required to print the youngest scotch on the bottle, hence why you see 8,15, and 20 on other JW bottles

Lame. Open by taste, not age. Your dad obviously doesn’t know how to drink whiskey

Balvenie 14 caribbean cask makes for a great daily scotch. Johnny Walker Blue is overrated

Why would you buy the first scotch if you were just going to throw it away?

Man I wish I can know the age of a Whiskey that has no given age and was only released 19 years ago. And its not so much absolute age, its how long it was aged in barrels. You’re trying to hard.

You obviously don’t know too much about Whisky either. If its from Scotland there isn’t an “e” in the name… Also he was quite clearly referring to the age of the Whisky that was in the barrel, the age that they have to print on the bottle, not how long they had the bottle.

First off, the spelling is irrelevent, if the Scotts want to take out the e thats fine. But back to my point, Johnnie Walker Blue has no age printed on the bottle dipshit.

Well the fact that you seem to think “20 year old whisky” is whisky thats been in a bottle for 20 years pretty much shows that you have no idea what your talking about.
