I know commenting on your own photo is a faux pas, but since it’s the fraternity you’re insulting and not the photo (maybe you don’t know how a photo comments section works?) I guess I’ll indulge you. Every tradition has to start at some point, and in the case of greek life, usually in an embarassing fashion. The first greek organization was founded by the rejects of a latin letter society, and the first national social fraternity by anti masons. As for our founding fathers, at least we honor their achievements instead of pretending they included Robert E Lee. But go ahead, insult an entire fraternity on the internet. I guess that makes you a pretty big fratstar.

Lee was president of the college where KA was founded and he let one of our founders miss school to go start another chapter. So Robert E. Lee did help the founding of Kappa Alpha in a way. That’s just one of many reasons and that is why he is our spiritual founder.
Our founders where all Masons, and as KAvu said, Gen Lee, a man who never let anyone miss school, allowed one of our founders to miss on several occasions which all coincided with the founding of nearby chapters. Furthermore, we do not claim he had anything to do with our founding only that we respect and like to model ourselves after his morals and values and 1999?, go fuck yourself, there is only one reason a fraternity gets founded that late and that is because it’s geedy fucking founders couldn’t get a bid from a real Fraternity.
^ I’m pretty sure the same thing could be said for most fraternities founded in the 19th century, although if our founders were as stereotypically Asian as is being claimed, it would probably suggest they never rushed. In any case, founding a chapter of an existing national fraternity is what people who don’t get any bids do, since if all they want is to be Greek, that’s a lot less work. In any case, would this imply that if these same men founded a chapter of KA or some other large national fraternity (and no matter how exclusive any fraternity claims to be, most national offices are always very expansion minded) they would have your respect? And on top of all of this, is the lack of comments about the actual picture implying that it is by itself a total frat move? I was at least expecting a ‘HEY GUYS I’M GONNA TAKE A PICTURE OF MY SUITCASE AND PUT IT ON THE INTERNET TO BE COOL”, so I guess I’m not sure I agree with the logic that because the post came from a brother of a relatively new fraternity it is by definition a fail.
