VIDEO: Alabama Commit Drills 77-Yard Field Goal, Is Not Human
2015 has been the year of the kicker. Kickers everywhere are one-upping each other with crazy backflip PATs and such. Enter Eddy Pineiro from Miami Beach, Florida. Eddy is a three-star recruit who is currently rated as the number one kicking recruit in the land. He is committed to play ball for Nick Saban (of course) next fall. Oh, and he has a fucking cannon for a leg.

Sure, you can’t really tell if that thing went through the uprights, but it looked like a bomb. No doubt that thing is good from 60-65 yards. Not only that, but he’s doing this off the ground. He doesn’t need a stupid tee like every other kicker who drills it from that far.
If he can do this in a game, then Bama will only need to get to their own 40-yard line to get some points on the board. Of course, UT’s Nick Rose also nailed an 80-yarder once. But then this happened in a real game:

10 years ago at 5:17 pmOne hell of a kick no doubt. There is some major wind if you watch the trees on the right side of the video. This kid is probably very accurate anything under 40 and can push his limits to 50 in game situations. Very good. No where near the best kicker to date however.
