VIDEO: Duke Student Trolls UNC Student ‘Fans’ Ahead Of Big Rivalry Game

College basketball rivalries don’t get much better than Duke and North Carolina. As shown by one Duke student, it’s a bitter rivalry and you better know who’s on your team.

An interviewer from Duke Student Broadcasting visited the Chapel Hill, NC campus, posed as a fellow UNC student and proceeded to make a handful of unsuspecting Tar Heel fans look like fools.

Questions included: If freshman Brandon Ingram was a big help (he’s on Duke), Grayson Allen’s abilities (also a Blue Devil) and how much respect the campus has for Christian Laettner (one of the most hated Duke Blue Devils ever).

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was a lesson in knowing what you’re signing up before you sign up for it. Bless the students’ hearts for trying to help out another apparent UNC student with his little project. However, if you don’t have a working knowledge of your school’s basketball team, you’re not going to be graced with the knowledge while standing in front of a camera being interviewed by a poor man’s Jesse Watters. A for effort, F for execution.

One YouTube user commented on the video, saying she’s in the video at the 2:23 mark, and she took the prank surprisingly well.

The two schools are tied in men’s basketball National Championships with four apiece, but UNC owns the all-time head-to-head series 133–107.

No. 5 Duke tips off against No. 20 UNC on Wednesday night. Hopefully J.J. Redick hits a grand slam and maybe a touchdown too..
