VIDEO: ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt Puts Skip Bayless In A Coffin After NBA Finals

Skip Bayless’ tenure at ESPN is coming to a close as he heads to FOX Sports for a fat paycheck. During his time on First Take, he has been the biggest LeBron hater on the planet (and I sit next to Dan Regester who is still mad that LeBron never answered his question at some basketball camp). So after the Cavs won the Finals and Bron took home the MVP, Scott Van Pelt decided to take a nice little parting shot at Skip, and anyone else who’s made a living hating on LBJ.

You think that SVP is glad to see Skip taking his talents to a new station?

For the record, Michael Jordan is the greatest of all-time. 6-0 in the NBA Finals, 9X first-team All-Defensive team selection, Defensive Player of the Year, and singlehandedly put Nike on the map.

Ok but didn’t LeBron just make as many NBA finals in the last 6 seasons that Michael did in 2 decades…so who’s the real playoff winner?

      1) what’s your thoughts of the chatter of LeBron leaving for LA or Miami?
      2) after a +19 plus minus and an impressive game on boards from KLove, is he still on his way out?

        2) Depends on LeBron staying or not. If James stays, KLove is gone and vice versa. Tristan Thompson can do all of Love’s rebounding and Channing Frye can make all of Love’s shots without needing to post-up occasionally. Love is the most movable piece on that team to potentially get better while they’re capped out; can trade him for more wing/perimeter help and/or a backup bigman (or fill needs as needed).

Well the real playoff winner would still be Jordan considering Lebron has lost four finals series

Right so it’s more impressive Jordan lost, what, 12 playoff series before the finals? Got it.

LeBron was eliminated by a Dwight Howard led Orlando Magic team and has been slapped around by Paul Pierce more than once.

Jordan was losing to the Bird Celtics. Slow down

LeBron got slapped around by Hall of Famers Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen. Not to mention the best point guard in the game at the time in Rondo. Meanwhile his best two players were Mo Williams and Zydrunas Ilgauskas

With no supporting cast, is this a serious comment? Those playoff series were literally Lebron vs the entire opposing roster and he still managed to take the boys to a final. Granted he got swept by the Spurs, he still put the entire team in his back. Are you forgetting he scored the teams final 25 points against the Pistons (in ’09 I believe)?

And the worst title team since the 79 Sonics is the 2011 Dallas Mavericks. Who was the best player on the team they beat in the finals?

You need to remember, Jordan didn’t have a whole lot during his first seasons on the Bulls and he had to over come the Bad Boys and the Bird lead Celtics (one of the best teams ever). Also, Jordan has more NBA MVPs and defensive MVPs than Lebron.

Jordan also won all 6, while LeBron is .500. I gained a lot of respect for LeBron last night, but I still don’t give him much credit for getting saved by Ray Allen and sweeping an inexperienced thunder team. As far as I’m concerned LeBron has 1 legitimate title, last night, Jordan has 6.

Yeah, making it through the East teams in his tenure is a real tough thing to do.

Skip Bayless was too busy giving Tim Tebow a reach-around to pay attention to the Finals this year

I’m just waiting for Siblings’ “Draymond Still Sucks” article after Dray dropped 32 pts, 15 rebs, and 9 assists in what was a tough Game 7…

No one thinks he sucks. He’s an above average talent in a system that is perfect for his skill set. He doesn’t have star talent, but he’s able to play close to that level because of the team he has around him.

But, Fuck Draymond cause he’s a fucking douchebag.

While Jordan in my opinion, is the greatest basketball player of all time. You can’t argue against the fact that this game 7 win has cemented Lebron as an NBA “great”.
