Watch Gronk Enthusiastically Award A Scholarship To A Texas Tech Football Player

These football scholarship videos just make me feel great inside. In the back of my mind I know that I’m watching someone younger than me achieve something I could never hope for, but I feel good anyway. The player’s unbridled joy and his teammates’ support just have a way of making me feel like I could go run through a wall.

Earlier this week, Texas Tech cornerback Justus Parker — who transferred to Lubbock from Texas Lutheran before the 2016 season — received a scholarship. That was incredible in its own right, but the guy who announced it just so happened to be an American icon.

The only way to celebrate something like that is to get absolutely trashed and hit the town. That also happens to be the only way to have a good time in Lubbock, so I guess you’re getting two birds with one stone. Winning a hard-earned scholarship must be amazing, but to have it announced to you by Gronk? That’s life-changing.

It reminds me of when Chance The Rapper said, “I met Kanye West, I’m never going to fail!” Once you’ve been blessed by Gronk, you are destined for great things. I wish the very best of luck to Justus Parker. Don’t fuck this up..
