Yale Professor Makes Wednesday Exam Optional Because Students Were Upset Over Election

An Economics professor at Yale University buckled under requests from reeling students to have Wednesday’s exam postponed, according to Jon Victor of the Yale Daily News. The requests the professor found “most upsetting” were ones in which students feared, “rightly or wrongly, for their own families.”

The professor, who has not been identified, agreed to make the exam optional.

I’m hesitant to provide any commentary on this story because tensions are high and people are being offended and pissed off and crying and cussing out people on the internet and packing their bags and booking one-way tickets out of the country.

I’m seeing people absolutely losing their minds on social media over the election results. It’s a weird day, a weird time. I get all that. But get a grip, people. The world will keep spinning and your life will carry on largely unchanged over these next four years. Accept the results and support your president.

This is a solid microcosm of the entitlement plaguing this generation, though. Didn’t get your way? Maybe start complaining and you can at least get something out of it, right?

I bet $500 on a trump win yesterday solely because of Siblings predicting a Clinton landslide. Kid gave me 3-1 odds, just wanted to thank you if you see this. Made fifteen hundred bucks of you consistently being wrong.

I’d be lying if I didn’t admit I checked my email a few times between last night and this morning anticipating a cancelled class or two. Instead I got a 30 minute lecture at 9 a.m. from a professor crying about it.

This is how it works if your party wins power and you disagree with something, right? I’m not quite sure, it’s been 8 years.

Look at that emotion. Genuine hurt and dismay. Look at those tears. So palpable. So pure. So rewarding to watch.

These ivy league students and frail social justice warriors deserve a safe space. Just kidding, see you in your nightmares. Losers.
