You Gotta Love This Fan Giving Bubba Watson Advice On Which To Shot To Hit

You know that one guy in your golf group who always think they know what to do? They are the ones who are telling you this putt breaks left when it clearly is breaking right, thinking that they can drive the water 280 yards out, and are bragging about their game knowledge? They are annoying, and almost always never score the lowest of the group.

However, when you’re giving advice out to the pros during a tournament, that takes some balls. After Bubba Watson had drilled his tee shot into the rough, one fan let Bubba know what he should do with his second shot into the green. The fan asked him if he was going to go with a little 4-iron punch shot under the tree.

Bubba responded by telling him, “That’s why you’re on that side of the ropes,” before sticking the approach shot within four feet of the pin, and then was looking for the fan after the shot.

This story is not about Bubba telling him what he told him, and showing off after nailing the approach. While I’m all for that, I’m all about this guy just giving Watson his take on his next shot, probably with his caddie standing there, too. The fan’s basically saying “Hey buddy, I got this. I’ve been punching four irons for years and this is the right shot.”

Biggest douche on tour. I’d rather see Bacon have a successful career than Bubba win again

Let’s see how many people will comment with this is just bubba being bubba and not wanna admit he was just trying to be a huge dick to that fan

It’s pretty strange how the tables completely turned after the PGA players voted him the most hated player on tour. I’ve always been anti-Bubba on here and I’ve always gotten killed for it. Let’s face it, the guy is the epitome of a GDI. First of all, he wasn’t in a fraternity. Beyond that you have a guy who went to junior college out of high school because no 4-years schools wanted to deal with his attitude problem. Once he got on your, he struggled a lot and was unbearable to play with according to his playing partners. Bitched about everything, screamed at his caddie all day. Then he had a coming to jesus. He went full god squad and decided to change his public perception without actually changing who he is. He went the whole pink route and started doing goofy shit off the course to make the public think he’s just some fun-loving country boy that likes to have a good time. He teamed up with the biggest tryhards on tour and did that dumb “Golf Boys” bullshit. Then he married an unfertile butch and adopted a kid and now he cries all the time and everyone still hates him. Fuck that guy.

All the PGA players that went to Georgia are super close except Bubba. Also he was more excited to talk shit to that fan than he was with hitting that shot. But to be fair If I had a green jacket in my wardrobe I would be a pompous asshole too.

The dude is exactly like Taylor Swift. They both have their media portrayals and their inner circle reality. They want to make themselves look as good as possible so they do things like charities and shove it down everyone’s throats to compensate that most people who are around them on a regular basis don’t really like them.

This past year I was in Orlando visiting a buddy of mine working there. We were on the driving range of a Windermere country club warming up before a small money game and we needed one more. Bubba jumped in with us and he was a great time. He certainly didn’t have to join us and even if he just wanted to take some pocket change from us he didn’t have to be nice about it, but he was. I’ll always root for Bubba now. You assholes are always hating on the media and chastising people for believing them right of the bat, and judging based on media perception then you go and do the same thing.

You also have to remember the guy is in an intense zone for those 5 hours on the course. It’s his job. I would be an asshole out there too.

You did not play golf with Bubba Watson, the professional golfer. Tour pros do not just “jump in” because three assholes needed a fourth

So because he’s a Tour pro he can’t play golf with people that aren’t? Believe it or not it happens fairly often in the Orlando area where a ton of these guys spend their off time. Get bent, asshole.

“Punch it out, Bubba! I’d go with the 4-iron.” – guy who probably struggles to break 100.
“Go fuck yourself, guy.” – Bubba

This is like the guy at the gym who talks to the guy benching 405 about his form and wants to show him the “right way”
