Your Dad Likely Got Laid More Than You Do Now, Study Says

With all the advantages we the “hookup culture” generation have at our finger tips, you would think we’d blow our parents out of the water when it came to the amount of strange we pull. Go to a college bar and try to stumble without breaking your fall inside of some chick. It’s more or less that easy. And that’s not even mentioning the countless dating apps that we’ve been spoiled with where men and women are matched together solely because both parties would be down to do the no pants dance with one another at first glance.

Well, a new study has some pretty underwhelming results on our part.

From Mashable:

Millennials reported a mean average of about eight sexual partners, while Gen Xers, born between the mid-1960s and early 1980s, reported roughly 10, according to the Archives of Sexual Behavior study published Tuesday. Millennials even said they had fewer sexual partners than Baby Boomers, who reported almost 12.

I’m really disappointed in our team, overall. Lot of talk off the court, but when it comes to getting down to business, we simply don’t show up. We’ve just got to be better.

Let’s also agree that these numbers have everything to do with our dads having insane game since all our mothers have only been with our pops. Don’t think about it too long. It makes all the sense in the world, and that’s what we’re going with.

It goes to show that hard work really does pay off. It was a much simpler time when they had to call a girl’s landline and hold an actual conversation. They had to knock up on some honey’s door rather than fire out a “You Up?” text at two in the morning. I know, crazy stuff to think about nowadays.

Also, I guess the whole “free love” movement and the lack of social media to slut shame helped. Regardless, your dad is still laughing at you strutting around thinking you’re hot shit. While you’re throwing some weak mid-80s meatballs down broadway, pops was hitting triple digits on the radar gun all while painting the corners of the plate. They were mastering chess, while we’re still not understanding how to play checkers.

This is going to be a horribly unpopular comment around here, but the rise in sexual partners in the 20th century coincides with the rise of feminism, in large part because of the sexual liberation movement of the 60’s and 70’s and feminists advocating for widespread availability of birth control. The number of sexual partners likely drops among Gen-Xers and Millennials because of a heightened awareness of chronic or deadly STDs. In sum, blame feminists for pixie cuts, an increase in the usage of “all natural” deodorants, and people thinking Chloe Sevigny is attractive *shudder* but if you aren’t getting laid, you can blame yourself…and AIDS.

In today’s society of gynocentric laws and insane feminist theories, which are often translated into some kind of law or university policy to be ultimately abused, what smart college man would not be weary of his partners?

I’d like to think its because we have higher standards but something tells me I’d probably have a hard time winning that argument based on my long history with 7’s…
