America Loved This Marine’s Response To The People Protesting For Free College

If you’re active on social media, you’ve probably seen one of your whacky, out-of-touch friends share a link about the #MillionStudentMarch — a movement for free tuition at colleges nationwide. That’s not all — it also demands that we, as a nation, forgive all existing student debt and raise the minimum wage for college employees to $15.
If your immediate response to that idea is a puzzled look and the question: How the hell can we afford that? Congratulations! You’re a rational, sane person. I mean, there is no question that college is becoming unaffordable and the student debt is a complete nightmare, but let’s at least try to be a little more realistic here with our demands, guys.
Even its own organizers can’t competently explain how America would be able to pull this one off. But boy, it sure does sound nice!
BREAKING: People are dumb.
You know who isn’t dumb? James Erickson, a Marine who had the perfect response to this entire movement.
I wanted money for school, so I marched too… #millionstudentmarch This one was about 25 miles… #USMC pic.twitter.com/bS6QN0KDtb

It’s been a busy, nonsensical week, and I am sure we all could have done a better job honoring our veterans, but thank you, James. Your rational thinking and service to this nation is something that I will be eternally grateful for.
Okay, tired of all these politics and #SocialMovement nonsense. Let’s see what is on Reddit..

Steve, like a cancer patient you’ve beat the odds. I still hate you, but like that akward toe nail, you’re beginning to grow on me.

10 years ago at 4:14 pmNothing better than a sledge hammer comment like that.
10 years ago at 10:41 amJack Hammer would be a better comparison
10 years ago at 2:31 pmThe idiots of society have way too much power.
10 years ago at 10:45 amThey really don’t have any power. It’s all imagined. All it takes is for one person or group to stand up against them but nobody has the balls to do so. And I’m not talking about that Asian girl calling them out. I mean kicking people off the football team if they won’t play. Still displaying the flag after the student council bans it. Etc etc.
10 years ago at 11:33 amsocial media is a contributing factor. You used to have to be smart to voice your opinion and have it heard. now any schmuck can hop on his mom’s desktop, spew some liberal horse shit, and have a brand new protest to go to before noon
10 years ago at 12:06 pmAs I said… it isn’t real power. All you have to do is ignore it.
10 years ago at 12:40 pmThis just in: Fuck SteveHolt. Stay classy TFM comments section.
10 years ago at 10:52 amYou’ve got a decent idea here that has been poorly executed
10 years ago at 11:55 amThat Marines comment wasn’t PC. I am highly offended by that. Some people can’t walk, how do you think they feel?!
10 years ago at 10:53 amNever underestimate the power of dumb people in large numbers. Good guy James Erickson calling them on their BS.
10 years ago at 10:56 amyou are like that annoying liberal chick that grows boobs over the summer before high school, I kinda like you now, but I will never forget what you said before
10 years ago at 10:58 amDid they get a new writer to be steve holt?
10 years ago at 11:12 amJames Erickson’s a fucking savage and I love it
10 years ago at 11:12 amThe government (read taxpayers) giving students free college would be like someone who is $50,000 in debt, and making minimum wage, somehow buying a ferrari off of their shitty credit.
