Barista Writes Flirty Message On Side Of Girl’s Cup, Girl Is Flattered, Internet Is OUTRAGED
When 19-year-old and absolute dime piece Laura Roberts (click here for proof), grabbed some coffee at the Starbucks near her London home, the barista left her a flirty message on the side of the cup. He crossed out some of the words on the “Careful, the beverage you’re about to enjoy is extremely hot” warning label so it read “Careful, you’re extremely hot.”
Roberts was flattered, so she sent it to her mother. But mama didn’t think it was so clever. She uploaded it to the Facebook group Shit London, where it received an onslaught of OUTRAGE.
Sexist? Creepy? Harassment? Lighten the fuck up, people. The girl herself told the Daily Mail she enjoyed it, despite being engaged to someone else:
“It’s my local Starbucks and he’s lovely,” she told MailOnline. “He always does it.”
When it comes to baristas putting the moves on customers, it’s all about context. Writing this message? A-okay. Writing this message then sucking latte foam off your finger while rubbing your nipple when she makes eye contact? Less okay.
This story doesn’t even fucking matter. At least, it shouldn’t. But in today’s world, this poor guy now faces the very real possibility of being fired and publicly shamed as a sexual deviant.
