The world adapting to the English language, but America still refusing to use the Metric system. TFM.

The metric system is far superior. We are the only dumb asses who don’t use it; no wonder the rest of the world is kicking is our ass in engineering feats.

It’s the stupid retards who prefer the standard over the metric system. Either way, a switch will never happen and I’m fine with that. I’m not the poor mechanic that has to have a full set of two different tool sizes.

Watch that mouth pledge. I agree with you, but if those dishes aren’t clean when I get back, the water in the lake outside the house is real cold, and I think you might need to go fetch your drowning pledge brother.

Metric is a fucking waste of space in the brain. If you’re not a scientist of some sort or a drug dealer who cares about fucking millimeters.

No thanks to the military and technology not scientist. When y’all have a cure for cancer I’ll say thank you.

The internet was originally created by physicists. Physicists are scientists, and you sir are an idiot.

I agree with this 100%. I’m forced to use the metric system as a scientist and a Soldier… Every time some “high-speed NCO” is giving me a brief, I’ll be quick to correct him when he starts throwing out meters, kilometers… oh sorry TOP you meant yds and miles; I play golf, football and live in ‘Merica

This is why I hate assholes who go through ROTC and think they know shit. Y’all don’t do anything if it wasn’t for that NCO you wouldn’t be shit. Also golf is not American.

haha, dude I’m a good officer and do what my TOP tells me… you can’t stand up without the backbone… also, I’m just TFTC to convert the metric to the English system

Doing what the top tells you? Way to prove you’re point you’re supposed to listen to your enlisted who have been in combat two three times to get advice from them as well; not from so fucking political general or admiral. Oh you’re TFTC? You must be so frat.

I also think it bears mentioning that the rest of the world adopted English more as a result of the global reach of the British Empire than because of the US. We are certainly the hegemonic power of the last 70 years or so but English became a global language long before that.
And before you get on my case, God Bless America and nowhere else.
