First Medal of Honor recipient since Vietnam, Sal Giunta, being honored at the Super Bowl. TFM.

  1. Vincent Van Bro

First living recipient since Vietnam, there have been 4 total in the War in Afghanistan. And please have some respect by referring to him by his rank (Staff Sgt.) and full name.

I don’t think he meant disrespect at all by his post. It’s quite obvious that he meant the opposite. So don’t be a douche bag. “bro.”

Staff Sgt Guinta should get whatever seat he wanted at the Super Bowl. 50 yd line? Check. Bench? Scoot over Byron Pledgewich.

Absolutely, total, hats off and stand up, even if you’re watching from the frat castle move. The man deserves respect. TAmericanPatriotM.

Did they say what he did to earn it. It is extremely uncommon to earn it and still live. It is probably an amazing story.

He not only stepped in to lead his unit when his squad leader was shot, but when one of his fellow soldiers was being carried away by terrorists, he sprinted to the rescue. Two men were carrying him away and he shot them both. Killed one and wounded the other. A true patriot and hero deserving of America’s highest honor. Not enough good publicity is given to men like him. God Bless America and the United States Military

It is. He basically charged a group of hadjis with only his personal weapon and grenades, hazed the shit outta them and made them run away single handedly.

Knowing people who have been MIA and KIA, I could not be any more proud of this hero. God bless him and God bless America!
