Whoever said weed was a gateway drug wasn't lying. TFM.

I personally don’t enjoy smoking weed, it makes me unproductive. My concern is that if it is legalized, will I be able to control wether or not my future children are exposed to it?

It’s easier for teens to get weed than alcohol bc drug dealers do not Id. If u make it legal and regulate it it would make it harder for teens to get because it would destroy the underground market selling it to your kids and intern making money off taxes.

The underground market wouldn’t be destroyed. It would still be cheaper underground because it is tax free and it would cater specifically to the underage buyer because its their only way of purchasing it.

Moonshine is also cheaper and sold underground with higher strengths than store bought alcohols but u do not see too many high schoolers buying moonshine. There is a black market for everything from shoes, tobacco, alcohol, and so on. The only way to diminish a black market is to make a better quality product worth the legal price. Of course the black market wouldn’tt be destroyed but you would cripple the value of growing the crop illegally and selling it for a lower price than doing it legally, and the gov would save money on incarcerating people for smoking a plant that is less dangerous than alcohol. Get real if I had a bag of weed would I sell it to high schoolers for $10 or on a legal market for $50

Moonshine isn’t the same market. There’s supplemental goods that kids can get with a fake or a buyer that satisfy their needs better. Underage people don’t party with moonshine on a regular basis, so they get beer and liquor instead. Plus, if licensing for weed remained as difficult to obtain with a national legalization there will still be an abundance of unlicensed dealers that can offer their product cheaper. Plenty of people would still buy from them, and they would only lose the people who are less willing to break the law or too wealthy to care about pricing. Doesn’t describe much of the current market for weed.

I think your trying too hard. I’m from bourbon country in Kentucky and it is quite easy to buy shine, and sometimes yes we party with it but it usually ends up bad. The reason why we even in Kentucky do not buy shine often is that it’s very unsafe, nasty as hell to drink kind of like drinking gasoline, and way too fucking strong. Weed would be the same, people will trust a legal product over a illegal one because they know this weed would not be laced with other substances. And as too the easy to get alcohol is the same. You can make shine with a tea pot copper wire and some corn I don’t know the recipe I’m just sayin. And as for the illegal dealers there is something called the ATF that cracks down on illegal dealers I’m sure they can do the same with illegal marijuana dealers. By having it regulated it would be less intoning for people to buy and sell it illegally

People need to stop quoting this overused Daniel Tosh reference. Additionally, the fact that he agreed with weed being a “gateway drug” means that it leads to other drugs, such as coke. Dumbass.
