I watched this video seven times about fifteen minutes ago and I’m still trying to put the pieces of my brain matter back together. I refuse to believe this is a real thing that happened on this planet. Did this occur on the set of a Michael Bay production? Is there trick photography at play here? Was I looking at a couple getting engaged in front of a green screen?

Nope. Vidal Valladares Navas actually proposed to girlfriend Michelle Wycoff on I-45 in Houston. He enlisted the help of his friends — who, mind you, are the worst friends a guy could possibly acquire to let him go through with this plan — to stop motherfucking traffic on the busy highway near downtown Houston, a city notorious for its already terrible traffic.

The newly engaged Michelle posted the video to her private Instagram account. Here it is:

Can you imagine trying to get home to your couch and a cold beer after a long, shitty day, only to get stuck in gridlock traffic because some self-centered twat thought he’d inconvenience thousands of Houstonians to put a ring on his girlfriend’s goddamn finger in the middle of a fucking highway? He’s lucky he didn’t get gunned down in a hail of gunfire, tbh.

I think I speak for everyone in America when I say that I hope Vidal and Michelle endure an unhappy marriage that eventually ends with a nasty, soul-sucking divorce that leaves both of them in total ruin.
